Staff

Hello, my name is Kathy Lyles. Although, I am new to the position as principal, I am not new to Abeka or to WCA. As a home school mom, I used Abeka to teach my own children. Later, as I was finishing my degree in elementary education at Liberty University, I was hired as the kindergarten teacher for WCA. I worked as a teacher for 4 years before taking time off from teaching.  Although the six years following WCA were not spent in the field of education, I was working at SECU gaining experience in member services, training new employees, and even spent time in tax preparation and lending.
My goal is to make Christian Education the top priority at WCA. I believe that every child is more than a grade, and it is my goal to see students at WCA grow both academically and spiritually. I believe we do that by setting examples daily as Christian leaders in their lives. We talk about the Lord, show our struggles, and admit that we are humans in need of our Lord’s grace and mercy. We pray together and we grow together.
I absolutely love WCA and every student here! My prayer is that when students leave here, that they never forget the precious memories that were made in this place.
